ALMA and IRIS Observations of the Solar Chromosphere. I. An On-disk Type II Spicule

چکیده

We present observations of the solar chromosphere obtained simultaneously with Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) and Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS). The observatories targeted a chromospheric plage region which spatial distribution (split between strongly weakly magnetized regions) allowed study linear-like structures in isolation, free contamination from background emission. Using these conjunction radiative magnetohydrodynamic 2.5D model covering upper convection zone all way to corona that considers non-equilibrium ionization effects, we report detection an on-disk spicule ALMA confirm its multithermal nature.

The Shock-patterned Solar Chromosphere in the Light of Alma

Recent three-dimensional radiation hydrodynamic simulations by Wedemeyer et al. 2004 suggest that the solar chromosphere is highly structured in space and time on scales of only 1000 km and 20-25 sec, resp.. The resulting pattern consists of a network of hot gas and enclosed cool regions which are due to the propagation and interaction of shock fronts. In contrast to many other diagnostics, the...

an investigation of the impact of self monitoring on langauge teachers motivational practice and its effect on learners motivation

the central purpose of this study was to conduct a case study about the role of self monitoring in teacher’s use of motivational strategies. furthermore it focused on how these strategies affected students’ motivational behavior. although many studies have been done to investigate teachers’ motivational strategies use (cheng & d?rnyei, 2007; d?rnyei & csizer, 1998; green, 2001, guilloteaux & d?...

On the Nature of the Solar Chromosphere

DOT high-resolution imagery suggests that only internetworkspanning Hα “mottles” constitute the quiet-sun chromosphere, whereas more upright network “straws” in “hedge rows” reflect transition-region conditions.

Exploration of Solar Chromosphere Using High Resolution Spectroscopic Observations

Brazilian Solar Spectroscope (BSS), operating in the frequency range of (1000 − 2500) MHz with high time and frequency resolutions, has observed various fine structures showing intensity variations as functions of time and frequency. Here we are reporting radio bursts observed by BSS, from August to October/2001, exhibiting fine structures with total duration of the order of 300 ms, covering a ...
